With the release of Sailfish 1.5.1, AML Oceanographic is proud to introduce a new feature: CastQC. This tool is designed to dramatically accelerate and streamline hydrographic survey operations through a new dynamic, click-and-go cast validation process.

Months ago, we solicited a hydrographic expert to use our software in real-world conditions and tell us what they’d like to see in the next release. These insights helped us shape Sailfish 1.5.1 around the practical needs of surveyors and their common goal: minimizing time lost to vertical profiling.

Hydrographic missions demand precision and speed, and yet the current cast validation process is extensive and time-consuming — it involves constant internal assessment and cross-referencing of past profiles. Nowhere do we see the ability to click-and-go. Until now. CastQC unlocks the ability to validate profiles quickly with the use of a dynamic reference cast.
