The In-SpectrŽ is arguably the most powerful underwater measuring machine currently available. The In-SpectrŽ contains two basic elements:

      • a quadropole mass spectrometer

      • Windows-based software that both controls the instrument and collects data from it

The mass spectrometer detects and measures volatile organics to 200 m/z (mass to charge) ratio to parts per billion thresholds.   Sample cycle time is a question of seconds.    The In-Spectr system functions at depths of up to 200 meters.

Communications between the mass spectrometer and the software is via Ethernet connection.  The software provides real-time visual feedback of the data via a Trends graph, a Spectrum graph, and a graph. Operational parameters are also identified.  For a more detailed discussion of instrument capabilities, please read the Technical Specifications Document.
