As a Production Manager, your success rests on your ability to reduce costs while improving quality. Effective instrumentation plays a critical role in that regard.

Applied Microsystems offers two unique technologies that can help: the measurement of sound velocity in liquids and an immersible mass spectrometer, to assist in the detection of chemical anomalies.

In many processes, it is difficult – if not impossible - to accurately measure the density of liquids in real-time. This is particularly true when input measurements are coarse. Unfortunately, fluctuations in density can have a very real impact on quality.

Real-time sound velocity measurement is a perfect alternative for density measurement, particularly when your process relies upon consistently adding particulate to liquid. Our off-the-shelf instruments allow you to calculate density based upon real-time measurement of sound velocity, temperature and pressure. The result: simplicity, consistency, and improved quality.

Our immersible mass spectrometer allows you to deploy one of the most powerful chemical detection technologies in the world directly into liquids. The instrument’s ruggedness ensures minimal maintenance, while at the same time providing near real-time analyses of hundreds of chemicals. The result: contaminant avoidance and improved quality on a batch-by-batch basis.
